Report from Shanghaiist:

On Sunday, a group of soft-cheeked college boys decided to take a little break from their usual schedule of sleeping and playing Warcraft studying by putting on a cross-dressing cosplay extravaganza in the Hankou section of Wuhan.
Calling themselves the “Alice False Mother Group” (爱丽丝伪娘团), the outfit apparently has strict recruiting policies for new **, and ironically apply their idealized feminine beauty standards towards males interested in dressing up like wispy classical Chinese beauties.
Xiaolu, a junior majoring in accounting at South-Central University for Nationalities that serves as spokesperson for the transvestite hobbyists, says the group’s ** have to possess “long and thin legs, a frame that isn’t too burly, and a face that’s long enough to be delicate and handsome.”
With ** from schools like Wuhan University, Wuhan Textile University, Huazhong University of Science & Technology and Huazhong Normal University, the False Mothers claim that they’re just average males when they’re not on stage, with a red-blooded affinity for basketball and other sports.
The main difference apparently being that most of the males receive plenty of attention from girls due to their delicate and non-burly features, with most of the ** reporting they already have girlfriends. Incidentally, having access to girlfriends reportedly is a boon for when the boys need to learn how to walk in a ladylike manner, as well as teaching how to properly coo and mew while clutching stuffed animals.
Report China Daily:

Male students dressed up as models perform during an animation show in Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei province, April 8, 2012. About 20 male students from several universities in Wuhan formed a group to perform in various animation shows and became popular locally. Each student makes on average 500 yuan for one show, Wuhan Evening News reported. A member, who wanted to be identified as Hao Ge, said he learned to act feminine in speaking and walking from his girlfriend. “This is only a temporary student group and we will not continue this job after graduation,” the group has announced.
